Eli Jaxon-Bear wrote in his book, Sudden Awakening, pages 90-91:  “When you experience despair fully, when you sink all the way in, you eventually fall out the bottom.  Despair is not endless.  You are.  Falling through despair, you discover a black hole.  All that stands between you and infinite nothingness is the ego’s terror that it won’t survive.  Your willingness to die to everything that is not real allows you to fall into the black hole.  When you do, you discover a taste of your true Self, your soul.  You realize directly the secret of emptiness, which is your true essence.  This recovery of essence can then flood the cellular memory of past wounds with love.  All wounds heal in the presence of this nectar of love.
